Government gives consumers 55% towards new rooflight*
Sound too good to be true? If you saw a headline like that it certainly would help turn your home improvements dreams into reality. Well this is no April fool, but maybe a little more explanation is necessary.
*Thanks to the changes for the new tax year we’ve calculated that an extra £821.60 will be in your pocket this tax year, that just leaves £680.40 left to pay for the Aspire 1500 x1000.
Good news, you get to keep more of what you earn. From 6th April the average worker will gain £130 per year based on a basic rate tax payer, as the personal allowances increase by £650 from £ 11850 to £12500.
Congratulations you’ve just earned a pay rise and you didn’t even have to ask. The national minimum wage increases from £ 7.83 to £ 8.21 so for the average worker working 35 hrs per week that’s a nice £ 691.60 per year.
